TERRAS boss Geoff Butler will tell his players to forget all about boardroom wranglings ahead of tomorrow's clash home clash with Dr Martens Premier Division leaders Tamworth, kick-off 3pm.

Matters on the park have been overshadowed this week by Ian Ridley's proposed rescue package, which was rejected by directors on Monday.

However Butler, who faced being ousted had the bid been successful, reckons his injury-hit squad will be fully motivated for the visit of the Lambs.

He explained: "After 40-odd years in the game, nothing surprises me in football anymore. After what's happened to me over the years, you tend to take these things on the chin and rise above it.

"I've got no problems with what's happened and to be honest, I don't think my players will allow it to affect them either. We had a chat about it before the friendly against Weston-super-Mare in the week and as far as we're concerned, it's history.

"The lads read the paper like everyone else and most of them have been around long enough not to let matters off the park effect what happens on a Saturday

afternoon."

Clear heads and a fully fit squad is what Butler needs tomorrow, but it looks like only half his wish will come true.

Already ruled out are midfield duo Mark Robinson (groin) and Michael Dean (hamstring), along with young striker Marc Whiteman (ankle).

Ankle injuries could also rob the manager of playmaker Ian Hutchinson, defender Toby Redwood and wing back, Matthew Hale.

"I need all of my players fit every weekend," he explained, "but especially so against the leaders. The news on Hutch is a bit brighter than first thought after he twisted his ankle against Weston although I'd say he's no more than 50-50 for the game.

"Marc Whiteman has started training again which is really pleasing but he'll need a game in the reserves, but Toby and Matty Hale both appear to be over their ankle knocks and I'm very hopeful they'll be okay tomorrow."

One piece of positive news for Weymouth is that veteran Danny Bailey is definitely available. He had been due to be away on a work course but has managed to change the dates.

Tamworth, who travel south still brimming with confidence after a 3-0 FA Trophy victory over Conference club Nuneaton last weekend, include former Terra Brian McGorry in their line-up along with ex-Coventry City and Leicester star, Steve Walsh.

"They're a quality side," added Butler, "but we don't fear anyone. We'll respect them as a good footballing team but we certainly won't be worrying about them."

And in a ironic twist of fate, Butler revealed he would be getting the low-down on tomorrow's opponents from Tiverton manager Martyn Rogers - the man tipped to replace him had he been shown the door by Ridley and co.

"That's football," said Butler. "These things happen and you get on with life. Tiverton drew with Tamworth in midweek and so who better than to give us some pointers."
