HE is fighting fit and is raring to go raise money for the Daily Echo-backed Domino Appeal.

For the past six months the appeal's fundraising manager Mike Denny has been busy getting fit at the David Lloyd Leisure Centre in Boscombe for an adventure of a lifetime - the Inca Trek in Peru.

Mike, along with 14 other participants, has to raise £2,500 to take part in next year's adventure.

Sponsorship money for the trek goes to the Domino Appeal which is raising the final £1.2 million needed to build the country's first purpose built school for children with autism at Hurn.

To help Mike get fit for the Inca Trail the David Lloyd Leisure Centre, which is sponsoring him for a year, has been giving Mike free fitness training.

His personal trainer, Claire Dashwood, has been so impressed by Mike's commitment that she too is now embarking on the Inca Trail next year.

Mike said: "I am extremely grateful to the generosity of the David Lloyd Leisure Centre and after six months of their training I feel so much better.
