A 50-MINUTE delay did nothing to dampen Lymington & New Milton's cup aspirations as they ran out 3-1 replay winners at Dulwich Hamlet in what boss Graham Kemp described as a "100 miles per hour cup tie."

Missing two linesmen at kick-off, Linnets had goalkeeper Alan Walker-Harris sent off and could even afford to miss a 41st minute penalty as two spot kicks and an own goal were enough to book them a first qualifying round clash at Hillingdon Borough on September 14.

Kevin Gill had opened the scoring for the visitors on 12 minutes after being upended in the Dulwich box, but the hosts hit back on the quarter-hour mark.

With Tony Chin dismissed for hauling down Gill, the talented teenager squandered a chance to double Linnets' tally as he slammed his second spot kick against the post before providing the cross for Lee Akers to nod into his own net after half-time.

Walker-Harris was given his marching orders with 15 minutes remaining, leaving defender Nigel Mottashed to deputise.

But Kemp's boys wrapped up the tie five minutes from time as Liam Green made no mistake from 12 yards.

Lymington & NM: Walker-Harris, Miles, Jones, Kemp, Morris, Richardson, Smith (Stone, 80), Sims (Mottashed, 75), Gill, Green, Tilley. Unused subs: Keeping, Grace, Town.

Former Cherries star Danny Smith's 70th minute header put paid to Poole Town's hopes of snatching a point at Winchester City as Brian O'Donnell's side slipped to a 2-0 Hampshire League Premier Division defeat. Jason Ahmet had earlier given the hosts a 50th minute lead.
