A LYME Regis town councillor has protested over another sign on the historic Cobb.
Nigel Clarke says a notice advising the surface is uneven is "an apparent self evident piece of information which has all the logic of placing a sign on the Cobb stating that water is wet."
The councillor, who has also bitterly opposed a barrier on the access to the high wall, deplores the latest sign, condemning it as another stark warning in day-go yellow.
In a letter to Historic Buildings Inspector Jenefer Cheser Coun Clarke says: "I once again draw you attention to the sudden rash of signs spreading over this ancient structure. They are obtrusive and severely ruin the look of this listed building and contravene the law regarding such structures.
"The barrier does seem to be attached to the wall by a bedding mortar. The barrier serves no practical purpose, and I think should require planning permission.
