IT'S every girl's dream.

Finding a suitcase with your name on it and opening it up to find exquisitely tailored clothing and matching accessories and then putting them on to see how you look.

That was the feeling backstage at a 50 years of fashion event, staged by Theresa Weller to raise money for Bradpole Holy Trinity Church's open access project.

It was the first show that Theresa had staged for a while and the audience loved it.

After the event, which was held at Bridport United Church Hall, Bradpole team vicar Maureen Allchin said: "It was absolutely terrific - it was really good fun and everyone remembered all the fashions.

"Some were saying they wish they had known how good it was going to be because they knew other people who would have loved it."

The show raised more than £300 for the Bradpole project, the aim of which is to make the church more accessible for community use.

Theresa has a collection of old clothing and lots of anecdotes to go with the individual outfits from the war years through to the 80s, which were modelled by local women - and a couple of men, includ-ing dairy farmer turned entertainer Colin Hile.

The vicar paid tribute to Theresa and her team for all their hard work.
