SOUTHAMPTON will bring a full first team squad to Cherries for their post-season fund-raising friendly next week after boss Gordon Strachan admitted not to do so "would be robbing the fans."

Strachan has pledged that his full squad will be on parade at Dean Court on Tuesday as Saints do not have another match until they bring down the curtain on their Premiership campaign at home to Newcastle on May 11.

The former Scottish international's promise could see Saints legend Matthew Le Tissier don the red and white stripes for one of the final times before he retires after his testimonial against an England XI on May 14.

Strachan said: "I will be taking my full squad to Bournemouth but I don't know who will be available. We have got a few injuries but it does not matter whether the players are fit or not, they will still travel.

"Even if a few of the players do not play, they will still be avail-able to sign autographs.

"I do not believe in taking under strength squads to these kinds of games because that would be robbing the fans.

"We have not got a game the following Saturday because it is the FA Cup final so this match will be a good opportunity for some of the players to work on their fitness."

Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "Many thanks to Southampton Football Club, the manager Gordon Strachan and his players for participating in this post-season match.

"At the end of a long season for both clubs, Gordon's offer to bring his Premiership team to the Fitness First Stadium at Dean Court is much appreciated by everyone."
