PAGE Three model Leilani Dowding hopes to prove she has brains as well as beauty when she stars in a special version of The Weakest Link.

Leilani, 21, formerly of Bournemouth, will go head-to-head with eight other models in the hit BBC quiz show.

She hopes to win the show and prove that, contrary to general perception, Page Three girls are not dim.

"I think there are one or two people who are Page Three girls who go on the TV and come across as thick," she said.

"I think it is people like that who give us lot a bad name."

Brainy Leilani, who has ten GCSEs and three top grade A-lev-els, gave up studying for a degree in economics at London's Royal Holloway College to begin modelling.

She said: "The questions on the show are all general knowledge so I can't really revise for anything. Because the questions are so random I have been thinking of what I can say to Anne Robinson instead.

"I am going out to win and am really looking forward to it.

"I will probably vote tactically and vote off the strongest link. But who knows - I could be the strongest link.

"I think I am the only one who has A-levels."

But how will she fare when faced with TV's scariest quiz show host - acid-tongued Anne Robinson?

"I am definitely going to give her as good as I get," said Leilani.

Kind-hearted Leilani has pledged to donate her winnings to good causes.

"If I win I will be giving money to charity. I will give half to the RSPCA and half to a breast cancer charity."

The special show will be filmed on Friday and aired in the next few weeks.

A BBC spokesman said: "They will be wearing whatever they choose but obviously won't be top-less.

"Obviously they are going to be more than capable of giving as good as they get."

Other contestants will be Zoe McConnell, Jakki Degg, Jo Lawden, Jamelah Asmar, Dee Ivens, Nicola McLean, Ruth Highman and Ruth Gordon.
