X-RAYS have confirmed injured Karl Broadhurst has not broken his foot and he could make a surprise return to Cherries' line-up at Blackpool today.
The 21-year-old defender has not trained for two weeks because of a sore foot and missed their last game at Wigan on December 29.
But, although he did not train yesterday, Broadhurst could yet turn out in today's Division Two clash, which kicks-off at 3pm.
Broadhurst aggravated an old injury during Cherries' draw at Swindon on Boxing Day.
Cherries manager Sean O'Driscoll said: "Karl didn't train but we got the result of his X-rays and they revealed no problems.
"We know he hasn't broken anything, which is good news, so we'll give him a late fitness test and see how he does.
"Karl is keen to play and we'll see what the situation is after the test and make a final decision then."
Young midfielder Brian Stock was the other injured player who travelled north with Cherries' squad yesterday.
He has been nursing a groin strain but successfully came through yesterday afternoon's training session, held by the beach in Blackpool.
O'Driscoll said: "Brian feels a lot better about his groin after running on it and he will also have a late fitness test today."
