classical sounds will be heard in Dorchester next week, with the County Music Society hosting a recital on Wednesday and Dorset Chamber Orchestra playing in St Mary's Church the following Saturday.
The County Museum Society performance is by saxophonist Sarah Field and pianist Simon Lepper, who will play pieces by JS Bach, Mozart, Debussy, Chopin, Gershwin, Vaughan Williams and Milhaud.
The concert is at 8pm on November 28 and tickets, £7, are available from the museum in High West Street.
Advent starts with a performance of Sibelius' Pelleas and Melisande, Prokofiev's Symphony No1 and Beethoven's Triple Concerto by the Dorset Chamber Orchestra.
The soloists will be violinist Oliver Nelson, pianist Zoe Solomon and cellist Rebecca Gilliver.
