BASHLEY are still searching for their first win under new boss Derek Binns after going down 3-2 against Dr Martens League Eastern Division rivals Eastbourne Borough.

The New Forest outfit were up against it after conceding twice inside the opening 38 minutes before goalkeeper Darren Crowfoot gifted Boro a killer third in the second-half.

Dave Adams opened the scoring for the Sussex-based hosts after 26 minutes before Clinton More made it 2-0 following a sustained spell of pressure on the Bash goal.

But Bash clawed their way back when Dean Higgins reduced the arrears in the 42nd minute before Boro restored their two-goal advantage thanks to Crowfoot's error.

The normally-reliable stopper allowed a shot by John Williams to slip through his arms, although the Boro scorer appeared to push defender John Williams in the build up.

However, the infringement went unpunished and Darren Robson's last minute penalty proved to be no more than a mere consolation for the visitors.

Bashley: Crowfoot, Jones, Funnell (Beck, 70), Robson, Williams (Hall, 70), Darnton, Tilley (Anderson, 63), Davis, Hussey, Gee, Higgins.
