BOURNEMOUTH-based Pogues sound-alikes Plastic Paddy promote their splendid new album Liverdance with a couple of local gigs this weekend.
The band appear at the George Inn, Christchurch, tomorrow night and the Thomas Tripp at Lymington on Sunday.
Their material includes traditional favourites like Marie's Wedding alongside original compositions by main man Mark Carter and the odd Shane MacGowan cover.
The last track on the album is a pure piece of Bournemouth folklore called Godfather of Boscombe. The album was recorded at the Penn Hill Studios over a two-year period, and is now on sale at gigs at £8.
