DORCHESTER'S two Jons - Austin and Entract - and Weymouth's Rhys Hanger are hoping to repeat their successful summer form when they represent Dorset this weekend in the Lawn Tennis Association's inter-county winter cup event.
The eight-man Dorset team, who won promotion from Division Three in the summer county cup event, are in action at Exmouth in Group 3B which also includes Devon, Avon and Hereford and Worcester.
The full team is Matt Coombes (capt), Andy Phillips, Jon Austin, Chris Watts, Rhys Hanger, Phil Loose, Dave Sanger and Jon Entract.
Meanwhile Dorset's women are competing against Northumberland, Kent and Devon in Group 3A at Taunton. Their line-up is Karen Adams, Shirli-Ann Sidall, Jane White, Anna White, Emma Moir, Lizzie Haskell and Chrissie Birtchnell.
* WEYMOUTH Tennis Club's long-held ambition to provide facilities other than just courts at their Radipole Park Drive headquarters have taken a step forward with the installation of cabin changing accommodation. The club is also hoping to get a grant to install floodlights on their courts next year.
