SEAN O'Driscoll is sweating on the fitness of captain Steve Fletcher ahead of Cherries' visit to Division Two rivals Wycombe Wander-ers tomorrow, reports Neil Perrett.

Fletcher is likely to face a late fitness test before the Adams Park showdown after pulling his hamstring earlier this week (3pm kick-off).

The influential 28-year-old, who has been ever present this season, was ruled out of training yesterday and is due to have a scan later today.

It is the same hamstring Fletcher tore playing against Wrexham last season which kept him out of action for more than nine weeks.

O'Driscoll said today: "I won't risk Fletch if he is doubtful because it is important we don't lose him for a long period of time.

"We have been training hard this week and I think Fletch tweaked his hamstring on the heavy ground. There could be a slight tear so he will have a scan today.

"He tore the same hamstring last season and ended up being out for a long time. We don't want that to happen again because he is very difficult to replace. Hopefully he will be fit, but I will leave the decision up to him."

Cherries are also hoping to welcome back Eddie Howe and Rich-ard Hughes who have both been laid low by the flu for the past 10 days.

O'Driscoll added: "Eddie came through a stiff work-out yesterday and should be okay, although Richard struggled a bit so we will have to wait and see if there is any reaction."
