MIDFIELD maestro Matty Holmes is back as Dorchester return to Dr Martens Premier League action against high-flying Worcester City tomorrow.

The former West Ham man missed last Saturday's 2-1 FA Trophy win over Boreham Wood at the Avenue.

But he will be hoping to help the Magpies put their cup heroics behind them and notch up some vital league points away at sixth-placed Worcester.

Manager Mark Morris said: "After the euphoria of the cup it's time to get some points in the league.

"Worcester are a well organised side and not easy to beat. It will be a difficult game."

He added: "We'll go up there and be determined.

"If we are resolute and look for a few breaks, we will hope to get a result."

Dorchester, who are fourth from bottom in the Dr Martens Premier League, are aiming to avenge a 1-0 defeat against Worcester at the Avenue Stadium in October.

Skipper Holmes was rested for the Boreham Wood game last week as a precaution against him aggravating a tight hamstring.

His return comes as keeper Mark Ormerod is suspended following his sending-off against Clevedon Town in Dorchester's 4-1 defeat at the end of October.

Second-choice keeper David Elm is called up, along with on-loan Bournemouth striker Justin Keeler.

But midfielder Marcus Oldbury is still out with a back injury.

A defensive mix-up put paid to Dorchester's hopes of a win over Worcester City at the Avenue on October 7.

Defender Andy Harris and keeper Vince Matassa got their wires crossed from a long ball to let Worcester striker Mark Owen knock the ball home.

Morris said: "It was a tight game earlier in the season and we played well.

"We've had good cup wins against Boreham Wood and Welling and we need to take that sort of confidence from the last couple weeks forward for this game."

He added: "I have no worries about David Elm playing.

"He is a decent keeper and has done well for us whenever he has come in."

Dorchester's return to Dr Martens duty comes a week before their FA Cup first round clash with Second Division pacesetters Wigan Athletic on November 18.

The Magpies will be hoping to avoid any injuries, although red and yellow cards would not count towards next week's cup tie.

Worcester City include former Magpies player Nathan Jukes in their line-up at left-back.

The 21-year-old, who is from Worcester, had a brief spell with Dorchester two years ago after leaving Portsmouth.

He has been an ever-present in the Worcester side this year alongside experienced centre back Mark Tucker.
