DURING the summer of 1996, Phil Aldridge found himself feverishly pacing the floor of his lounge, unable to believe that the concert he had seen the night before was part of the last tour The Eagles would ever do!

There was only one thing for it. He'd form a tribute band - a sure-fire way to get to hear his favourite songs played over and over again!

After several months of ideas, rehearsals, lots of hard work and more rehearsals, his brainchild at long last came to fruition and The Illegal Eagles was born.

The band which plays the Pavilion theatre tonight was handpicked by drummer and keyboards man Phil.

Between them they honed the soft country rock sound of the West Coast originals to note-for-note perfection.

Now they play a full two-hour Illegal Eagles show which takes the audience through the musical history of The Eagles from 1972-81, including cuts from the solo albums of Don Henley and Joe Walsh.
