ENVIRONMENT Agency experts are warning of further flood threats to Dorset and Hampshire in the next 48 hours.

More heavy rain is forecast with the worst downpours expected to sweep across the south of England.

The agency's floodline last night issued an all-clear to the region's rivers and tributaries, including the length of the Stour, where water levels were falling.

But a spokesman warned: "There are no flood watches currently in force but more rain is due today and over the weekend. The situation will be monitored and flood watches will be issued as necessary." Twenty-seven flood warnings remain in force nationally.
