CHILDREN will be able to cheer on the Cherries for the bargain price of a pound in another Daily Echo-backed initiative.

Following the success of the Kids for a Quid scheme against Swindon, AFC Bournemouth is repeating the initiative for this Friday's match against Doncaster Rovers.

The match kicks off at 7.45pm.

It will be the ideal chance to give Football-mad youngsters the chance to discover what it's like to cheer on their local team in person.

And it should be an exciting clash, with the Cherries taking on a team several places ahead of them in division one of the Coca-Cola League.

Fans aged 16 and under and accompanied by an adult will pay just £1 to watch the match from the new Eveningsout.co.uk South Stand.

Adults will pay £15 to enter but can bring up to four children with them.

The initiative is supported by both the Daily Echo and AFC Bournemouth's Football in the Community team.

The initiative proved a big success when it was first tried at the Swindon match on September 17, helping the Cherries to a gate of 7,276 that Saturday. It also offered the public the first chance to see the Cherries' newly opened stand.

Tickets can be bought from the ticket office on 726303 or online at www.afcb.co.uk. The ticket office is also open between 9.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

And don't forget to buy the Daily Echo on Saturday for a full review of the match.
