PRINTS by Bournemouth-trained artist Trudy Kittle are on show at Forest Arts at New Milton. (Feb 18)

Playing on the colour, texture, shape and form of both the manmade and natural worlds, Kittle's vibrant works are created through a process or experimentation in varying techniques. Mono-print, woodblock and lino printing are among those featured.

The methods she employs allow her to build up and break down the layers and form of the work so that "each print takes on a life of its own".

Kittle studied at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth and gained an honours degree in Fine Art. She has had many exhibitions including at Highcliffe Castle, Boscombe Arts Festival and at Shaftesbury Arts Centre.

The show is accompanied by books created by Daphna Weinstein.

The books, which display the "wild imaginary" as well as "crude reality", are produced through a combination of traditional, digital printmaking.

Israeli born Weinstein worked as a teacher and military cartographer before moving to England. She gained an MA in Fine Art Print from the Wimbledon School of Art, lectures at the Kent Institute of Art and Design and works from an etching and print studio in Surrey.

The free exhibition runs until Saturday, February 18.
