FOLLOWING a visit to Tyneham last Saturday I have every sympathy with the divers on Portland and their lack of toilet facilities, ‘Angry divers have got nowhere to go’, (Echo, April 12).
Echo readers contemplating a visit to Tyneham may wish to know that the public toilets at that wonderful beauty spot were boarded up.
The adjacent notice ‘Toilets Closed’ gave no indication as to the reason why or, more relevantly perhaps, for how long.
My estimate of some 300 people in the village and surrounding area – all of whom ‘discovered’ that the toilets were closed – is no exaggeration. Simply unbelievable!
