The first phase of development at the Prospect Business Park in Victoria Avenue, Swanage, is under way.
Purbeck District Council has agreed terms for three plots – two-thirds of the business park – having completed roads and services with support from the South West of England Regional Development Agency.
The space sold so far will be used for owner-occupier businesses and speculative workspace.
Planning consent has been granted for 14 business units on a 0.81 acre plot and development is due to commence shortly, ready for sale or to let for light manufacturing, general industrial use or service business use by mid-2011.
