STYLISH cyclists from fashion giant New Look have saddled up for a sponsored ride from Weymouth to London.

The Fashion Peddlars were cheered off from the company’s Mercery Road headquarters on the four day challenge.

They are among 30 Fashion Peddlars converging on London from New Look bases Europe-wide for the Children’s Hope charity in aid of Bangladeshi youngsters.

Staff from New Look’s French chain Mim, are also joining in the fundraiser.

Group supply chain director Alan Osbourne, who helped found the Fashion Peddlars four years ago, said: “We are taking part to raise £50,000, making the total so far for the last four years up to £330,000 donated to Children’s Hope.

“To date 150 children have been put through school and some have gone on to university.

“The charity also provides medical support and vitamin supplements to families who need it.

“It is a great charity which ensures the money goes straight to the people who need it.”

He added: “We enjoy the riding when the weather is good. I would like to thank all the riders, support crews and all our colleagues in New Look and Mim who are doing additional events to raise money for Children’s Hope.”

The cyclists included Sarah King, Sarah Cotton, Georgie Taylor, Limor Feingold, Amanda Herron, Tom Heywood, Kate Stone, Lisa Rowe and Ann Chan.

They are being supported by Gary Wilks, Keiran Frost and Julia Carney. The teams are due to finish in Hyde Park in London on Saturday June 12.

Children’s Hope helps transform the lives of desperately poor Bangladeshi children by supporting them through education and providing medical care .

Two teams of riders set off from Paris, taking different routes, a team left from Weymouth and one from the Lymedale Distribution Centre. A small group from New Look’s Singapore hub were also cycling around Singapore.
