TWO paramedics celebrated their marriage in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their family and friends.

Emma, 31, and Adam Collinge, 41, from Weymouth, tied the knot at Weymouth Register Office on Saturday, October 9, before having their reception at Yalbury Cottage in Lower Bockhampton.

Mr Collinge’s youngest daughter Katie, was a bridesmaid and ring bearer.

The couple wanted to make sure that 10-month-old son Oliver would be able to be at the wedding and planned the reception carefully so that his high-chair could fit into the intimate function room.

Mr Collinge said: “We had no evening do. Because of Oliver, the evening finished at 5pm so that we could get him home for his bottle, bath and bed routine.

“Then once he was down, Emma and I shared a bottle of champagne and watched the X Factor.”

He added: “It was a really down-to-earth day because that’s the type to people we are. We are both feet on the ground type of people, so we wanted a low-key day.”

The couple even kept the big day secret from their colleagues at work.

The couple met through work in 2006 and Adam popped the question on Emma’s 30th birthday.

The couple plan to take a long skiing holiday in Canada or Colorado in a couple of years, once Oliver is old enough to learn.
