A PROUD first-time father has described being a dad as the ‘best feeling in the world’.

Adam Potts, 25, an electrician and his wife Vicki, 24, a microbiology laboratory assistant at Dorset County Hospital, welcomed their daughter, Imogen, into the world last month.

She was born weighing 8lb 14oz at 12.13am on September 21.

Mr Potts said: “It’s brilliant being a dad, it’s the best feeling in the world.

“It’s just nice to wake up to each morning and watching her change daily and noticing different things each day.

“Then coming home from work each day to cuddles is really lovely.”

He added: “We didn’t know if we were going to have a boy or a girl so we had narrowed down a selection of names.

“Then when she was born, we picked the one that felt right.”

Both mum and baby are doing well and Imogen is sleeping through large parts of the night, waking up every six hours for a feed.

The couple are planning a christening for some point in the future.
