MUSIC fans could bump into famous rock star Courtney Love after she revealed she is spending time in Dorset to get over her personal problems.

The singer, actress and widow of the late Nirvana legend Kurt Cobain has been appealing for a doctor to come and visit her while she spends a week in the county.

She has posted comments on the website Twitter saying that she needs someone to visit her in Dorset ‘as it’s an emergency’.

Love, who also appeared in the film The People versus Larry Flynt, wrote on her Twitter page that she urgently wants an ‘addictions’ doctor at a house ‘where I’m staying in Dorset’.

She posted a message to the son of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Marlon, from New York’s Mercer Hotel.

The 46-year-old said: “It’s an emergency, I only have the house for a week.

“Hurry Marlon. I need to pack for UK now.”

She wrote that she was ready to leave for Dorset with a personal assistant and a minder and needed nurses and a doctor to kick her problems.

On Tuesday the singer of the band Hole was seen at the opening of a photography exhibition in London believed to be on her way to Dorset.

Fans of the American are hoping to bump in music venues in Bridport or Weymouth.

Weymouth guitarist Marco Rossi is among those who would love to see her.

He said: “It’s very intriguing and I would love to know where she is. And I would definitely love to do a gig with her while she’s here.”

Marco said Love – who is renowned for her party lifestyle – is more likely to be having a rest in a countryside bolt-hole than being seen in Weymouth town centre.

He said: “I figured she had calmed down a bit of late but who can say?

“If you are going to chill out Weymouth is a bit lively.

“So I would expect her to be in a village surely for a bit of rest and recuperation.”

Love’s husband Kurt Cobain died when he shot himself at home in Seattle, Washington in 1994.

His wife has remained popular both for her music and acting and is a frequent visitor to Britain on publicity trips.

Gabby Rabbitts, director at Bridport’s Electric Palace, said: “I would be really excited as I’m a big fan of her music.

“And I’m a big fan of Kurt Cobain’s band Nirvana.”
