  • ST. MARY’S Church will be decorated with greenery on Monday, December 20. The decorating will take place from 10:30am onwards and everyone what wants to help is very welcome! Seasonal foliage is very welcome as well as berries and similar adornments you can think of but please don’t bring any flowers. If you are unable to make this day but would still like to participate in future flower arranging for the church phone Christine Nunn on 01300 341459.
  • SURGERY hours: Please remember that surgery times vary over the Christmas period. The surgery will be closed from Saturday, December 25 to Tuesday, December 28 and then again Saturday, January 1 until Monday, January 3. The out-of-hours number to call is 0845 6001013.
  • EXERCISE Classes: Do you want to be fighting fit in the New Year and get your exercise regime off to a good start? Then please note that the format of the classes will change in 2011. Instead of separate classes there will be two mixed ones on Thursday mornings. They will take place in the Village Hall and offer a variety of exercises. The first one from 9:30am – 10:30am includes salsa, resistance work and Pilates. The second one from 10:45am – 11:45am will be purely Pilates. The first classes start on Thursday, January 6, just turn up if you like! Your tutor will be Carolyn Brettell and if you would like more information please telephone her on 01934 410462 or Mike Clark on 01300 341269.
  • HORTICULTURAL Society: The Society wants to thank everyone who came to the Squibb Garden to give it a good tidy-up. It is now all ready for the winter with minimal work required until the spring. Would you like to become a member of this society? Their next AGM takes place on Tuesday, January 18 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. After the conclusion of all matters a finger buffet with wine will be offered and this is an ideal opportunity to get to know the society. Membership is £ 6 for the year, benefits include free talks, reduced outings, discount shopping events and a handy book with the year’s important events.

Godmanstone
