A YOB armed with a weapon has been causing havoc on rural roads.
Police say pellets have been fired at a property and vehicles in the Sherborne area.
The first incident, in which offenders drove past the victim’s house on the A352 between Sherborne and Longburton and fired a metal pellet at a window, happened last Friday. Later in the evening along the same road an unknown item was fired at a travelling car causing a side window to break.
A few minutes later the side window of another moving car was broken in Glanvilles Wootton.
PC Matt Such of Sherborne police said: “We are treating this very seriously as the consequences could have been much worse. I would like to hear from any other motorists who have had their vehicle damaged in similar incidents.
“I am also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incidents, and anyone with any information about those responsible to get in touch as soon as possible.”
