I was saddened to read that Coun Robert Gould had dismissed the proposal from the Duchy of Cornwall for a way forward regarding the proposed WDDC council offices as “not realistic or credible”.

It would appear that this new offer has not been given due consideration to take into account the opinions of our elected local councillors by the either the executive or full council.

Surely an issue which is causing so much concern to Dorchester residents, the majority of whom do not want the offices built on South Walks and do not want money wasted in this profligate way, must be discussed fully to demonstate that WDDC really does believe in open and democratic processes.
