TWO people escaped without serious injury after a car overturned on the A35 west of Winterbourne Abbas.

A Dorset Police spokesman said there were no other vehicles involved in the incident, which occurred at 3.45pm yesterday, and the two people in the blue Citroen were given first aid at the scene.

The spokesman added that the road was momentarily blocked but traffic was still able to get round the vehicle.

One passing motorist said: “There was a brief hold up while the police were sorting everything out.

“I didn’t see the driver or anyone else as they must have been taken away. However, they were very lucky that they weren’t seriously hurt.”
