CHILDREN in Lulworth have painted pictures of their mothers at a special ceremony to raise money for the DCH Digital Mammography appeal.
All the youngsters, from Robins Reception class in Lulworth and Winfrith First School lead their monthly service in West Lulworth Church telling the congregation that they had picked the DCH Boost appeal so they could ‘raise money to buy a machine that helps mummies’.
During the service the children held up pictures they’d drawn of their mums.
Lulworth and Winfrith First School will be continuing their fundraising on Friday, April 7, when each pupil will donate £1 and wear their own clothes to school.
To add to the fun, it will be a ‘pink day’ – and children who wear something pink will be allowed one of Mrs Croft’s pink-iced cakes.
