Local weatherman John Oliver said Dorchester enjoyed its sunniest Easter ever.
The mean maximum temperature for the four-day Easter weekend was 23.0C, beating the previous record of 20.5C set in 1984.
Daytime temperatures peaked at 25.5 Degrees Celsius on Saturday (April 23), just 0.3C short of the April record set in 2003.
Mr Oliver said: “With the Easter weekend the latest date it could be and virtually unbroken sunshine on all four days it was the sunniest Easter ever. It was the hottest Good Friday and Saturday for more than 60 years.”
