DELEGATES brainstormed ideas as the first Spirit of Bridport business forum burst into life at the Bull Hotel.
They drew up priorities for ways to improve Bridport and to boost commerce in the town – including better signs, promotion and parking.
Organisers hailed the success of the event as more than 50 businessmen and women packed the conference room.
The business forum is part of the Spirit of Bridport initiative to raise the profile of the town but also capitalise on the 2012 Olympics and boost the local economy.
Artist Kit Glaisyer, who is a co-chairman of Spirit with Coun Ros Kayes, came up with the idea for the business forum.
He said: “It went exactly how I wanted it to go. We will take the insights from here, take all the points and collate them.
“We will then take what we have learnt for our next meeting.”
