Dorset Police are keen to speak to witnesses or anyone with information about the theft.
A spokesman said: “Mr Daft reported the theft of the bike from the garage on St Georges Estate Road at 9.18am on May 5.
“At 11.39am we had a call from a woman to say that there was an abandoned motorcycle in an alleyway heading towards a sub-station on Weston Street. The registration was the same as the missing bike and Mr Daft was informed so that he could recover the motorbike.”
Dorset Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed suspicious activity and anyone with information as to how the bike came to be situated in the alleyway. Call Dorset Police on 01305 222222.
