THERE was joy at the birth of a second baby for a Dorchester family.
Baby Leo Dominique Lance Simpson was born at Dorset County Hospital on July 18, weighing 5lbs and 13oz.
Mum Alicia Curtis, 19, and dad Samuel Simpson, 18, said that he was doing really well.
Alicia said: “I’d like to thank my mum Sharon Harrison and Sam for their support and thank you to the midwife team at the hospital who helped us and helped look after him.”
Leo is a new baby brother for Warren Lee Butler, who is three.
Alicia said the family was looking forward to the summer.
She said: “Warren is looking forward to getting out in the park and we’re looking forward to getting the baby in the buggy and getting out and enjoying the summer together.”
Alicia added: “Leo is doing fine, he’s eating okay.”
She said that she was very proud of both of her boys and added: “I’m enjoying being a new mum. The best bit is looking at them and thinking ‘they’re mine’.”
