THE COSTUMES are ready, the rehearsals are going smoothly and Weymouth Operatic Society is getting ready to perform its autumn show, the hugely popular musical My Fair Lady.
Based on George Bernard Shaw's tale Pygmalion, the rags-to-riches story of flower girl Eliza Doolittle, who is transformed into a society lady by meddling Professor Higgins, is a wonderful yarn sprinkled with songs such as Wouldn't It Be Lovely, The Rain In Spain, I Could Have Danced All Night and I've Become Accustomed To Her Face.
Naomi Riglar, who plays the role of Eliza, is pictured second from left with other cast members. The show is at Weymouth Pavilion from Wednesday to Saturday, September 27 to 30. Tickets are available from the Pavilion box office on 01305 783225. Picture: JOHN GURD JG1091
