Graeme Jarman, 47, was named by police as a suspect in the murder investigation of pensioner Judith Richardson who was beaten to death with a hammer at her home in Northumberland.

Police said he was arrested at a library in North Yorkshire on Saturday after a member of staff recognised him and raised the alarm.
