A MUM and dad have hit out at motorbike thieves for ‘breaking a little boy’s heart.’ Stacey Notley and Paul Andrew of Weymouth say their three-year-old son Tyler Andrew has been crying every day since his motorbike – a birthday gift – was taken by thieves.

The youngster’s £300 50cc mini dirt bike was stolen from a locked garage along with a £600 110cc pit bike belonging to Mr Andrew.

The couple discovered both bikes were missing after Miss Notley, 24, had just been released from hospital following complications with her second pregnancy.

She said: “I felt sick when I found out they were missing – and it doesn’t help that I had just come out of hospital and that I suffer from anxiety.

“Whoever has taken the bike has broken a little boy’s heart.

“I hope they feel guilty. It’s me and his dad who have to sit here every day and listen to him crying.

“It makes us feel guilty and we can’t do anything about it.

“We can’t afford another bike – we haven’t got the money for it.”

Mr Andrew, 24, said he and Tyler would regularly ride their bikes together close to their home at Springfield Road.

He had bought his black and red bike with gold handle bars the week before it was stolen.

Mr Andrew added: “Tyler absolutely loved riding his bike. All the neighbours loved seeing him on it.

“I’m not so bothered about my bike but I’m bothered about his.

“Tyler doesn’t want to go to playschool any more. We heard that our block of garages have been broken into 18 times in the last year.

“My neighbour has now set up CCTV facing the garages.”

Tyler’s bike, which he was given for his third birthday, is blue and black and has a personalised number plate on the front.

Miss Notley said: “I don’t understand how someone can do this to a kid.

“There was no key with Tyler’s bike and it can’t be started without it.

“All day long he’s been saying ‘Daddy, I want my bike back’.”

Mr Andrew said he is offering a reward to anyone who can help him get the bikes back.

He added: “We’ve been out with our friends until the early hours driving around and looking for the bikes.

“We’re hoping that someone’s going to slip up eventually because Weymouth is too small. Someone has to know something that can help us.”

A Dorset Police spokesman said: “We had a report of two stolen motorbikes from a garage.

“Someone gained entry to a garage and took two motorbikes between September 21 and 23.”
