BUSINESSES in south Dorset are being offered free advice workshops to help their 2012 Olympic and Paralympic travel plans.

Free one-hour workshops with London 2012 officials are being held on Thursday, October 6 on Portland, Friday October 7 in Weymouth and on Monday October 10 in Dorchester.

The hour-long workshops will be held three times daily at 7.30am, 1pm and 6pm.

Thursday’s Portland event will be hosted at the The Heights Hotel in Yeates Road, followed by Friday’s Weymouth event at the town’s Community Fire Station in Radipole Lane and next Monday’s Dorchester event at the Dorford Centre in Bridport Road.

Local businesses can discuss travel planning during next year’s Olympic and Paralympic sailing events with London 2012 and Weymouth and Portland Borough Council and West Dorset District Council representatives.

The workshops, which will run during Open4Business, aim to help keep businesses running smoothly in the run up to, and during, the home Games. The sessions are first come, first served and are limited to 20 people.
