SINGING star Perrie Edwards, pictured right, survived another nail-biting week on the XFactor The former Weymouth schoolgirl is part of girl band Little Mix who made it through to next week’s show.

Perrie, 18, and her bandmates are still chasing the dream after making it safely through another tense vote off.

Little Mix are one of five acts left on the show and the last of the groups.

They were the second act voted through.

They won praise from all of the judges for Saturday night’s performance.

Gary Barlow said it was their “best performance to date” while Kelly Rowland said they could become the UK’s biggest girl band.

Their mentor Tulisa Contostavlos said they were “brilliant, yet again”.

Perrie’s mum Debbie Dufty said: “They were absolutely fantastic and everybody’s saying how great they were so we’re really excited about it.

“Next week they get to do two songs so that gives them another chance to show what they can do.

“Everything seems to be going their way and a lot of famous people are saying they really like them.”

This week’s theme was music from the movie and the group sang Don’t Let Go by En Vogue which featured in the film Set it Off.
