A MAN has been airlifted to hospital in a potential life threatening condition after receiving stab wounds to the torso, face and hands.
Police and ambulance services were called to Alexandra Road, outside the Londis in Skilling, Bridport around 2.30pm.
Ambulance crews working on the 36-year-old victim who is suspected to have been stabbed more than six times with a knife.
Clinical support officer Adam Collinge at South Western Ambulance Service was at the scene.
He said: "When we arrived we found a man in his mid thirties had sustained more than half a dozen stab wounds to his torso, face and hands after being stabbed with a knife.
"He needed stabilising at the scene and was then taken by air ambulance to hospital.
"He has suffered from potential life threatening injuries."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police urged anyone with information to get in touch.
