DO you know a brave child whose courage deserves to be recognised with a Little Star Award?
To mark the fact that December was the Children’s Cancer Awareness Month, Cancer Research UK is asking for nominations of brave young patients and survivors.
The charity has teamed up with TK Maxx to honour their courage through the Little Star Awards.
There’s no judging panel and every child nominated will receive a unique trophy, a £50 TK Maxx gift card and a certificate signed by a host of celebrities including Leona Lewis and rapper Tinie Tempah.
Every week in the South West, more than two children are diagnosed with cancer. It’s thanks to research that more children are surviving cancer than ever before.
Today almost three quarters of children are cured, compared with around a quarter in the 1960s.
But we still need to do more to help many more children.
To nominate a Little Star or make a donation please visit www.cancerresearchuk.org/littlestar or text ‘STAR58 £5’ to 70070 to donate £5 from your phone bill.
Text donations are free from any network and 100 per cent of the donation will go to Cancer Research UK.
