DEFENCE Secretary Philip Hammond said security plans were being made under a policy of “better safe than sorry” ahead of the Olympic sailing events.
This afternoon minister stepped aboard RFA Mounts Bay in Portland Port to discuss Ministry of Defence support for Dorset Police during the games.
Mr Hammond said: “There are no specific threats to security, but precise measures are being put in place to make sure everyone can enjoy the Olympics."
