A DORCHESTER residential home will be celebrating Dignity Action Day.
Culliford House in Icen Way is holding a packed afternoon of activities and entertainment to mark the national initiative on Wednesday.
Dignity Action Day, supported by Sir Michael Parkinson, aims to ensure people in care are treated as individuals who are given choice and control.
At Culliford House there will be all sorts of fun and games from 2pm to 6pm with family and friends invited to join residents and staff for what promises to be an exciting afternoon.
Activities co-ordinator Jeanette A’Court said: “We’ve got entertainment coming in and there is various activities going on from puzzles to cookery demonstrations.
“There are lots of different things so people can join in and we will be inviting family and friends to stay for a buffet tea afterwards.”
