Coastguards from Portland faced an unusual task when they transferred a gravely ill patient from south Wales to London.
The Portland Coastguard Helicopter RESCUE-106 took the patient from Carmarthen Hospital to Kings College Hospital for treatment yesterday afternoon, refuelling several times en route.
