MORE than £330,000 was spent on the controversial mushrooms adjacent to the roundabout at Littlemoor. This is just a showpiece to welcome visitors to ‘somewhere’.
With the amount of money being spent by the Highways Authority, surely it wouldn’t cost too much to show Weymouth on the road signs.
You don’t need to be brain of Britain to realise that by the time visitors finally arrive at their destination quite a few will feel frustrated at the number of wrong turns they have taken – and that’s before they actually start their holiday.
We should be proud of our town, so let’s get the signs updated now before the season starts. Come on, and get your priorities right.
