WEYMOUTH and Portland Borough Council is to freeze its share of the council tax for the second year in a row.
Councillors approved the 2012-13 budget, including council tax levels, at a full council meeting last night.
Members heard the authority faces a reduction in its government grant for 2012/13 of £620,200, or 14.4 per cent.
But the council has been able to 'off-set' cuts to funding by sharing a workforce with West Dorset District Council.
The borough council’s council tax for a Band D property in Weymouth and Portland will remain at £267.56.
The final bill for council tax payers in Dorset is still to be decided.
