Now that the new observation tower appears to be nearing completion I assume it is not being entered for any architectural competitions.
While the view from the top may be spectacular (although some would say that the view from the Nothe is free and very similar!) those of us that have to see it every day are left with an incinerator chimney or possibly an installation from a nuclear power station!
Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth may have been very contentious but at least it is pleasing to look at!
