A road safety operation has been delivered in Purbeck as part of a campaign to reduce the number of road casualties in Dorset.
Special constables from the Purbeck section carried out the operation as a direct result of concerns from the local community and in order to raise the profile of road safety.
Officers stationed around Upton, Wareham and Swanage targeted motorists who were putting themselves and others at risk by drink driving, speeding, not wearing a seatbelt or using a mobile phone when behind the wheel.
The operation resulted in a number of offences being identified.
In total, 34 Fixed Penalty Notices were handed out to drivers breaching traffic laws.
