I once read angels walk the earth in the guise of men and women.

Having recently undergone surgery in Dorset County Hospital, I am inclined to think this might be true, and quite a few work for the NHS.

I was successfully operated on by a skilled surgeon and cared for by kind and dedicated nurses.

I am an impoverished OAP, but a multi-millionaire could not have received better treatment. I feel fortunate to live in a country and a county where this is possible.

Surely this is the pinnacle of a truly civilised society.
