A MOTOR boat caused brief tailbacks when it slid off a trailer at a busy Weymouth crossroads.
It was being towed by a black Nissan Navara, registered to a Weymouth man, when it came loose in Westham yesterday afternoon.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 3.50pm to Swannery Bridge where a boat had slid off its trailer and was in the middle of lane one, facing Abbotsbury Road.”
The vehicle was recovered and the road cleared just after 4pm.
