A BOOKLET has been published about the LymeNet community learning centre for Lyme Regis and the surrounding area.

The People of LymeNet explains how the centre works and features firsthand stories from people who have been helped. LymeNet provides tuition, advice and internet access for people to improve their skills, employment and life prospects. It provides supported internet access and has a Job Centre Plus point where people can perform job searches. Tuition covers a wide range of IT courses, from complete beginners to more advanced qualifications, as well as literacy and numeracy.

LymeNet also runs the Lyme Regis branch of the Credit Union and provides office facilities for residents and visitors. Centre manager Lucy Campbell said that there has been a huge commitment to keep LymeNet open despite the fact that it doesn’t receive any core funding.

She added: “This booklet illustrates the benefits for those who use LymeNet and hopefully helps people understand the work we do.”
